El Burnout como síndrome social del siglo XXI en Byung-Chul Han

Abstract

Byung-Chul Han sees the Burnout syndrome as a symptomatic manifestation of the social and cultural conditions generated by a digital culture founded on transparency. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the Burnout from the perspective of the South Korean author, in order to contribute to the study of the syndrome from the analysis of 21st century societies. For this task, it begins with a profile of the author to know his context, followed by a small review of the classifications through which the Burnout syndrome has passed, then the sociocultural analysis is carried out based on the texts The transparency society , The Burnout society and The expulsion of the other, to later understand the relationship between the type of society with the social illnesses they suffer, and thus offer an approach to Burnout syndrome from a perspective of sociocultural malaise.
