Abstract

The implementation of Minecraft is described as a supporting tool for urban design, referring to the experiences and learning obtained through the piloting carried out during the February - June 2023 semester, in the Learning Unit Urban Project Workshop II, at the Faculty of Architecture of the UANL. At the end of the semester, a questionnaire was applied to the students who participated in the project, to hear their point of view on this unconventional approach in the rehabilitation of a sector of the city.

It was an enriching experience, since collaborative work based on STEM learning is promoted, and it allows some freedom when developing urban redesign proposals, which with much more technical software would not be possible to explore, thus enhancing the students’ creativity when using a platform with playful nuances.
