Análisis de ingesta alimentaria en escolares de dos asentamientos Tarahumaras en la Ciudad de Chihuahua.

Abstract

Migration movements from rural to urban areas lead people to change their lifestyles, these changes can promote a sedentary lifestyle and the consumption of foods rich in fats, these new habits can cause quite significant negative changes in the state of health. the health of children, causing depletion of macro and micronutrients, which can cause consequent pathological states. The objective of the research was to compare the dietary intake of Tarahumara schoolchildren from two settlements in the city of Chihuahua on weekdays and weekends, taking as criteria the equivalent Mexican food system and nutritional intake recommendations for the population. Finding as results that the children of both settlements are below the recommendations established for their age in daily calorie consumption on both days analyzed and likewise below in the consumption of vitamins and minerals, this can lead to pathological states. The results obtained remind us of the importance of meeting the intake requirements of both macro and micronutrients, they are key in the development of children and if not met, they can generate negative effects on health.
