Abstract

Currently, sports organizations in Mexico are facing the need to have much more efficient and modern structures and processes, which require the search for new ways of carrying out activities. They also need to rethink what is being done and who is doing it, as well as when, how, why and where it is being done. New visions, processes, organizational structures, techniques, programs and management styles are required to improve their actions. The success of any sports organization increasingly depends on its processes and structures being aligned with its vision, mission, objectives, values and organizational proposal, as well as its economic strategy. Behind the fulfillment of all these elements is the implementation of a set of activities that, in turn, are part of the management as a whole. That is why the main point of analysis is the predominant role that management should have as a discipline of human knowledge in sports organizations. This text explores management as a discipline of human knowledge in Mexican sports organizations. The work is preponderantly theoretical. The method consists of explaining what is understood by management and its field of study, understanding the management and sports organizations and their situation in Mexico and the possibility of organizational improvement and exposing by way of conclusion the importance of this discipline of human knowledge in the sports organizations of the country.
