Abstract

Clinical analysis laboratories are an extremely important tool for the surveillance of public health and it is necessary to have an adequate management and control of all its aspects, such as the medical part, the laboratory and the patient. Currently there is a boom due to the birth of several clinical analysis laboratories with the intention of providing service to the general population. This generates an environment of competition among them and allows us to have several options as patients of which laboratory to go to. The purpose of this research is to show different types of indicators that are managed at the company level and to determine which ones are the most appropriate in order to provide an overview of how these laboratories should operate to be considered ideal and beneficial for the general population. In this article we break down a considerable amount of indicators and based on the social needs and the search for welfare in terms of health, we select the ideal ones to begin to consider a clinical analysis laboratory as functional and with an optimal performance to meet the needs of the population today.
